The Sierra Leone International Ship Registry was appointed in 2005 by the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration to perform ship registration activities under the provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act 2003. Since 2005 Sierra Leone International Ship Registry, working as the Registrar of Ships and the Registrar of Seamen has registered over 2000’s vessels and has contributed to the global maritime recognition of The Republic of Sierra Leone in which the Sierra Leone Flag is kindly known as “The Flag of Good Hope”.
