The different types of Ship Registration available are: · Normal Registration (valid for 5 years) · Special Registration: one voyage for delivery or for scrap, valid for 3 months · Bareboat charter Registration (valid for the validity of the charter agreement not to exceed 2 years) · Yacht Registration (valid for 3 years) · Fishing Registration (valid for 5 years)Documents Required for Normal Registration: For provisional registration: valid for 6 months · Copy of Application for registration Form SL-Appl form · Copy of Builder’s certificate (if new ships) · Copy of Bill of sale and acceptance of sale duly notarized · Copy of Previous tonnage certificate. · Payment of registration fees. Copy of previous flag registration certificates · For applications by a company, a copy of its Certificate of Incorporation/Business license/company registration. · For applications by individuals a copy of their passport(s) ID duly notarized · If applicable, Radio Accounting authority (RAA) letter confirmation · Survey Letter confirmation from Recognized Organization · If applicable, Verification of LRIT · For Refrigerated Cargo and Reefer Carrier, Declaration of Cargo, SL- Decl of cargo form · If available, survey status of the ship For permanent registration (within 6 months, subject to possible extension): · Original application to register a ship · Original notarized copy builder’s certificate or original bill of sale or original notarized copy of bill of sale · Original deletion certificate from the previous last registry · copy of valid statutory certificates · Copy of previous deletion CSR · Updated Crew list, valid COE and Copy of COC · Radio equipment details (model and frequencies) For Special Registration: valid for 3 months · Same requirements as Normal Registration For Bareboat Charter OUT (when Sierra Leone is first flag): Valid for 5 years · Copy of all documents requested for normal registration · Copy of the Bareboat Charter agreement duly notarized by notary public · Bill of sale is not necessary · Previous CSR if applicable · Registration fees will include first and second annuals For Bareboat Charter IN (when Sierra Leone is Second flag) valid for a period of charter agreement not to exceed 2 years: · Original Letter of Consent from 1st flag · Copy of the Bareboat Charter agreement, duly notarized by a notary public · Copy of all documents requested for normal registration · Bill of sale is not necessary · Previous CSR if applicableAt permanent registration copies of COE's and valid statutory certificates will be needed. For Yacht Registry: valid for 3 years · Notarized copy of Bill of sale or original bill of sale · Copy of Builder’s certificate (if new yacht) · For application by a company, a copy of its certificate of incorporation/business license/company registration · For application by individuals a copy of their passport notarized clearly showing their full name and other details as submitted on form Sl application · Copy of previous registration certificates and previous tonnage certificate · Survey Letter confirmation from RO |
