Vessel Registration
Types of Vessel Registration:
1. Regular Registration : All types of vessels except for fishing vessel valid registration for 5 years
2. Bareboat Charter In : All types of vessels except for fishing vessel valid registration for 2 years
3. Bareboat Charter out: All types of vessels except for fishing vessel
4. Yacht Registration: Pleasure Yacht and commercial yacht valid for 1 or 3 years
5. Special Registration: All types of vessels due to one voyage delivery or to scrap registration valid for 3 months.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS for provisional regular registration of ships
- Copy Bill of Sale – NOTE: We will require original Notarized Certified True Copy of the original Notarized BOS during the permanent registration
- Copy Builder’s Certificate (if new ship) NOTE: We will require original Notarized Certified True Copy of the original Notarized Builder’s Certificate during the permanent registration)
- Application form – duly completed and signed.
- Certificate of Incorporation – if a company.
- Passport – if an individual (owner).
- Previous: Tonnage, Registration Certificate.
- Verification of LRIT (if applicable).
- Radio Accounting Authority – letter of confirmation (if applicable).
- Recognized Organization – survey letter of confirmation.
- Survey Status – if applicable.
- Declaration of Cargo – if the vessel is Refrigerated Cargo, Reefer Carrier or Fishing Carrier.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS for permanent regular registration of ships
- Original notarized certified TRUE COPY of the Original Notarized Bill of Sale (showing the transfer of ownership) or original notarized true copy of Builder’s Certificate
- Original Application form – duly completed and signed.
- Original Deletion Certificate from Previous Flag.
- Copy of Deletion CSR from Previous Flag.
- Valid Statutory Certificates.
- Valid ISM, ISPS – if applicable.
- Radio Equipment Details.
- Copy of COE, COC, and updated Crew list.
Bareboat Charter Out
Duration is 5 years
- Documents required:
- Copy of Application form duly completed and signed
- Copy of the Bareboat Charter agreement, duly notarized by a notary public.
- Copy of certificate of incorporation if applicant is a company, or copy of
passport if applicant is an individual - Owner should give a declaration about the flag he is going to register as
second flag - Previous tonnage and registration certificates if possible
- Previous CSR, if applicable
- RAA letter and survey RO letter (bill of sale is not required)
- Registration fees will include first and second annual, while registration issuspended due to ship’s navigation under a second flag.
- (statutory certificates nor Certificates of endorsement for crew COE are needed)
Bareboat Charter In
Bareboat Charter In charter agreement period but not longer than 2 years
Documents required:
- No objection letter to be obtained from 1st flag.
- Copy of the Bareboat Charter agreement, duly notarized by a notary public.
- Copy of application form duly signed and completed
- Copy of certificate of incorporation if applicant is a company or notarized copy
of passport if applicant is an individual - Previous tonnage and registration certificate, if possible
- Previous deletion CSR, if applicable
- RAA letter, if applicable
- RO survey letter
- Declaration of cargo if the vessel is refrigerator cargo, reefer carrier, or fishing
carrier for permament Registration valid statutory certificates, COE are
needed
