Sierra Leone’s Fishing Agreement With European Economic Community (Eec)  

The Republic of Sierra Leone and the European Economic Community (EEC) have recently entered into an agreement establishing the principles and rules which will in the future govern the fishing activities of vessels flying the flag of Member States of the EEC in waters over which Sierra Leone has sovereignty or jurisdiction in respect of fisheries. Sierra Leone will permit fishing by EEC vessels in Sierra Leone’s fishing zone in accordance with the Agreement and the laws and regulations in force in Sierra Leone relating to fisheries. Sierra Leone, One of Africa’s Leading Ship Registries,  Awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification
Sierra Leone International Ship Registry (SLISR) has achieved the coveted industry ISO 9001:2008 accreditation of its quality management system in ship registration. An audit was conducted by ABS Quality Evaluations as a requisite step to the evaluation process leading to certification. SLISR received the Certificate of Conformance which signifies compliance with the requirements set forth by ISO 9001:2008.
